Objectives:

I want to create an ident that reflects park hall media; this means that I will have to include the park hall media logo in order to make a big impact

Vision

We hope to achieve more people to attend and a wider range of students for park hall media I also would like to achieve a higher attendance for people that already attend park hall media.

We hope to achieve this by making an ident that appeals to a wide target audience, this will intern make student want to attend.

Where we are now:

We have now made our ident and have passed the planning stage, we have a final product of our animation and have edited it all together

Proposal for:

What I want to achieve is an ident for Park Hall Academy, media, I want to do this as it will be a great advertisement which will appeal to other students, it will also be a good introduction to animation for students that may want to join the animation club. We want to do an ident for park hall academy media, our idea is use big characters from movies that are well known, such as Godzilla and King Kong, we will use these as most people in our target audience range know who they are and can relate to the characters as big media icons, the basic story line for our ident is that Godzilla and King Kong engage in a fight and towards the end hold up a logo of park hall media. This will symbolise what park hall media stands for. We proposed to use plasticine to make our characters but have experimented with other things such as Lego and clay, we come to the decision of plasticine as it is easily manipulated and is easy on the eye with bright colours and a shiny finish. We will make our animation by taking pictures of our characters and moving them slightly each time, this will give the effect of movement without anyone touching them. As well as the characters we will make the park hall badge out of plasticine as it will match and keep a similar theme.

Objectives:

We also want to make sure our ident is up to a good technical standard, by doing this the ident will look more Professional, this means that more students will look at our ident becuase it looks as though it is a real advert.

Vision

What we hope to achieve is more people to attend and a wider range of students for park hall media I also would like to achieve a higher attendance for people that already attend park hall media. We want our ident to be eye catching and colourful, to achieve this we will make characters that are vibrant colours and make sure that they contrast to make the audience more interested in our product, another thing we hope to achieve is to promote park hall media and accomplish the target audience that we are aiming for. When making our ident Callum filmed and Joe did the animating, our vision was to use plasticine.We hope to achieve this by making an ident that appeals to a wide target audience, this will intern make students want to attend. Moreover, by making the characters bright and colourful we will make sure that the ident is interesting to look at subsequently reaching a wider target audience. the resources we want to use is platicine, we want to use this as it is

Flexible and durable. The equpiment we are going to use in a sony video camera, we will use the photo Implement on the camera and take frames of each movement we do. The location we will be filming our ident is Park Hall Academy we will also use the green screen so that we can Integrate a background into our animation in the editing stage . in our group disscusions we decided on the story line of our ident.

Where we are now:

We have now made our ident and have passed the planning stage, we first started with prototypes of our characters and tested them by making a practice animation, this turned out to look good and look vibrant with the colours we used so we decided to use them in our final product, with having our final product of the animation we edited it all together and have made improvements where we could. We used power director to edit our video; we had to shorten each picture to make the video run more smoothly. For our ident we organised our group in a way that it would work for the whole group, we did this by assigning tasks to different poeple, for example Callum filmed, Joe and Jamie moved the characters. we are currently picking music to go on our ident, some examples of this is: Robbie Williams-Bongo bong

The reason for these songs is that the fit the pace of the fighting in our story it also appeals to a wider target audience than other songs.

What’s next?

Next we are going to improve our animation by adding music and a background we are going to experiment with different backgrounds and find out which one fits our animation best. We are going to play different music along with the animation and see which one sounds the best, we are going to pick a song that fits the theme of our ident; this was because before, we encountered difficulties with the green screen.

Difficulties

We encountered difficulties with the green screen as the image would not fit the background properly, other difficulties involve the music we tried to put in the music did not fit the theme of the ident and we found it difficult to find a good song to put in. we overcame this by changing the format of our video by changing the format we could incorporate better music. Although the green screen would not work we managed to put one in by editing our characters on paint.Net and the re-incorporating them in this process was long and we encountered further difficulties when trying to fit the image on the green screen that we had edited. furthermore we had difficulties trying to get time in the green screen room as alot of student wanted to use it at the same time we did.
