Planning
Characters
Our characters will be King Kong and Godzilla, Godzilla is a 1998 American action science fiction film directed and co-written by Roland Emmerich and starring Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno, Maria Pitillo and Hank Azaria. It is loosely based on the Japanese Godzilla franchise and is a re-imagining of the 1954 Japanese film of the same name.
Design
Patrick Tatopoulos was contacted early on by Emmerich and asked to design the new Godzilla. According to Tatopoulos, the only specific instructions Emmerich gave him was that Godzilla should be able to run incredibly fast.Godzilla's traditional look was changed from an upward walking dinosaur to a hunched bent-over marine iguana. The reasons for changing Godzilla's look from a dinosaur to a marine iguana is still unknown. Godzilla's color scheme was designed to reflect and blend in with the urban environment.
We decided to use Godzilla and King Kong because we feel that it would appeal to a wide target audience. They would also work for our story as they would be fighting each other.
Target audience
Our target audience is 12-19 but can range up to 50. For our ident i think that the main gender would be male this is because our ident is aimed towards that target audience, I believe that our target audience would enjoy our ident as it is specifically tailored to appeal to them. The target audience we are appealing to interests involve a form of fighting or conflict, this will be incorporated into our ident.
Formats
The format of our animation is primarily a fighting scene, then the fighting will cease and the characters will hold up the Park Hall media logo. The resources we have available and will use is plasticine
Promotional and positive words
Our animation will appeal to its target audience and will achieve a high standard. It has a unique style and a good story line, its shows the media with big film characters which are recognisable and well know.
USP
The unique selling point of Park Hall Media Productions is that it appeals to a wide target audience it is also enjoyable
Animation techniques
For our animation we considered using stop start, this is because we feel it would have the best effect for our characters, it would also mean that we could exaggerate the characters and objects we use. Likewise it means that we can use stretch and squash, the purpose of this principle is to give a sense of weight and flexibility it also mean that when the characters fight we concentrate on detail of the face stretching as a result of a punch.

Channel Idents
Station idents are normally used in between shows, and by some are considered the most important portion of a network's presentation. Unlike in the U.S., broadcast stations in Europe do not identify by callsign, although many European networks brand by their usual channel number. for example E4 uses its symbol in the many animations that are used in E4's idents, some idents are created to appeal to a certain target audience.
Cinema
Animation is the technique in which each frame of a film is produced individually, whether generated as a computer graphic, or by photographing a drawn image, or by repeatedly making small changes to a model unit and then photographing the result with a special animation camera. film makers such as pixar make animations films useing CGI, this give a more realistic feel.
Advertising
Animation is used in advertiseing because it is hard to achieve a certain appeal that actors find hard to do, animation in advertiseing ranges from hand drawn to CGI, but also stop start animation can be used, for example wallace and gromit appeared in a NPower advert, which appeals to a wide target audience.
Music Videos
Music videos also use animation often when the video has a stroy, this makes it easier to do special effect that would be harder with actors and sets. the target audience for videos with animation is often aimed at childeren but can range from childeren to teenagers.
Computer Games
Computer games use animation but there are many tyeps , for example first person shooters are most likely to use more realistic animation to have special effects and give the game more urgency. Other games such as childerens games are more likely to have cartoon animation.
